Back in 2015 we were invited to design, develop and manufacture 15 bespoke garage systems for the new Mclaren P1 GTR driver program. From an early physical concept model we sold the idea of an 8m cantilever light boom with moving light diffuser's, changing the beam of light over the car from a strip to ambient light, all to compliment the unique occasion of a GTR trackday.
We designed into this flyaway assembly a hidden gas bottle bank, drinks cabinet styled toolboxes hiding high pressure F1 style wheel guns and retractable hoses. All designed to "Russian doll" into itself and package down to 2 small flightcases.
A great project, some elegant
design solutions and an impressively different visual for the special clientele.
The McLaren P1 GTR Driver Days project must have been a thrilling experience to be part of! Managing such an exciting and detailed project requires careful planning and seamless coordination. Task and project management software would certainly have played a key role in organizing tasks, timelines, and resources effectively. It’s amazing to see how technology continues to streamline even the most high-profile projects. Looking forward to more amazing updates from this team!
